Twelve year old Swati went to church. She was a believer. The pastor was preaching a wonderful message on salvation. The teenager who sat in the front row was a nauseating sight to Swati. She wore heavy lipstick and makeup. Her long ear-drops fell on her shoulders. Her glass bangles made tinkling noises which distracted Swati from the message she was keenly listening to. Swati was cursing her under her breath, “Terrible teenagers. Why do they primp like this without decency or decorum?” The sermon was coming to the climax. The pastor gave the altar call. To Swati’s surprise it was this Tinkerbelle who got up first and walked to the altar and knelt down. After prayer she came back wiping her eyes.
Swati felt guilty for despising her in her heart. She vowed never to do that again. She started praying for bad people.
Never despise anyone in your heart and think they are not worth the kingdom of God.
