Daddy loved the burnt side of the bread. So whenever they bought bread he would cut off the burnt portion and give to mummy. Mummy would take it quietly and eat it. This went on for years. On their Silver Wedding Anniversary, that is, after 25 years of marriage, Daddy lovingly cut off the burnt portion of the bread and gave to mummy. Mummy cried saying, “Today is our Silver Wedding Anniversary. I thought atleast today you will give me the good portion of the bread.”
All these years daddy thought mummy also loved the brown portion. Mummy thought daddy always gave her the unwanted portion. The problem is, they never expressed themselves openly. It is important that you talk to your parents openly. You also must try to understand them. If parents are too busy for you, tell them that you need to talk to them and express yourself freely. We must understand one another.
