A king was about to get on his horse. But his usually tame and gentle horse was very disturbed, kicking and neighing. All his soldiers came and tried to calm the horse. Nothing worked. All their efforts were futile. Finally a soldier came and asked to be given charge of the horse. Every one moved away giving the rein to him. He promptly turned the horse to face the sun so that his shadow fell behind him. Immediately the horse cooled down. The king
understood that the horse was frightened of its own shadow.
Problems in life are like shadows. They threaten us and frighten us. But if we turn our face to the Sun of ighteousness all shadows will fall back and our fear will be gone.
