Solomon and Jensen accompanied their parents to a wedding. People were streaming inside the church. The family took a place and seated themselves comfortably. But Solomon wanted to go to the front row, so he could see everything clearly. In spite of being discouraged by his parents, he slipped to the aisle and walked to the front row. Surprisingly it was empty and Solomon took a seat there.
Soon the wedding party arrived and the bride, groom and their families walked in. An usher walked quickly towards Solomon and urged him, “Get up, get up, go and sit elsewhere. These seats are reserved for the wedding parties.” Solomon got up and walked to his family, feeling humiliated.
When you are invited to some place take the lowest place. When your host says, “Hello, why are you here? Come here. This seat is better,” you will feel honoured. If you sit in a prominent seat and if you are asked to a lower seat, you will be ashamed.
