Pandit Mathan Mohan Malavia was collecting donations for the building of a University. He went to a rich man’s house in Kolkata. His son was playing with a matchbox, lighting one stick after the other and throwing it away. The rich man, when he saw that, scolded the boy and took away the matchbox saying he should not waste anything. Mr. Malavia was hesitant to ask for a donation thinking, “He is so careful with small amounts. How will he give a donation?”
The rich man sat Mr. Malavia and enquired. When Mr. Malavia explained, immediately the rich man wrote a cheque for a very big amount and said, “If my son wastes small things how can he manage my big property?”
Do not waste anything. Save and give for worthy causes. If you are faithful in small things, God will give you bigger responsibilities
