A nightingale was singing beautifully in the forest. As the Lion King and his fox minister walked past, the fox remarked, “King, see how beautifully the nightingale sings!” The Lion said, “What is the use of singing? One must roar and fight and hunt.” The fox kept quiet.
It was the lion prince’s birthday. All arrangements for the celebration were in full swing. All animals in the forest were invited. But the baby prince was continuously crying. Nobody could stop his wailing. The fox suggested that they call the nightingale. As the nightingale started singing the baby prince quietened down, became calm and even smiled. The King said, “We should not despise anybody’s talent. Each one is unique.” The nightingale was rewarded and made the palace songstress.
