A King and his minister were going round the city. They saw a mango grove with fruits. The king asked a man who was there, for a fruit. He gave a fruit to the king. It was yummy. “ Can you give me two baskets of these fruits? I will pay for them,” asked the king.” “Come, O King. This is my friend’s garden. Nearby is my garden. I will take you there.” There he gave the king two baskets of mangoes.
“Look,” said the minister; “he plucked his friend’s fruit for free. But when you said you’d pay, he took us to his own garden.” This fell in the man’s ears. He said, “Sir, you are a king. You wanted a fruit to taste. So, I gave my friend’s. But I can’t pluck two baskets of fruits without my friend’s permission. I didn’t expect you to pay. You are a good king and the fruits are my gift. I am so privileged to see you and give a gift to you. ”The minister was ashamed of himself. He apologised to the man.
