Vishnudasar was a famous native doctor. He advertised for the job of an assistant. Two young men appeared for the interview. “I have to decide between you both. Now take this with you and prepare this medicine and come,” he told them and sent them off.
Both appeared on the set date. “Sir, my father sustained a fracture and mother was sad. But somehow I managed to prepare. Here is the medicine,” Sridharan told Vishnu. Dinakaran looked sad. He said, “Sir our neighbor and friend took ill and I had to take care of him. He is a lone man and my mother wanted me to help him. I am sorry I couldn’t find the time to prepare the medicine. But please employ me. I will be a sincere helper.”
“Sure,” said Mr. Vishnudasar. “Medicines are to save life. A man who prepares it cannot afford to be negligent of people’s suffering. You have a compassionate heart and that’s what is needed. So I hire you as my assistant.”
