Kannan was observing a beautiful statue. He was observing every detail of it, taken by the intricacy of the work. “How could they make it so wonderfully beautiful daddy?” He asked his father. “The artist takes a stone and starts cutting out all the unwanted portions. Chip by chip he removes pieces. Thus emerges the beautiful statue out of the crude stone,” replied his father.

We are like crude stones. God deals with us every day. Whenever we find something wrong, ugly, sinful in us, we must, with the help of God, chip it out and throw it away. Then one day we will stand tall and beautiful like the lovely statue.
