A sage visited a city. Many big shots of the city came to see him. They introduced themselves to the sage as: I am an Engineer, I am a doctor, I am an advocate, I am a business man, etc. A poor man greeted him and introduced himself as Kuppusamy. The sage hugged him and seated him in the chair next to his. The great men were offended that they were not respected but this nobody was given the seat of honor.
The sage said, “You people have forgotten who you are. You think your qualification and wealth make you the person you are but Kuppusamy has not forgotten his humble estate. That’s why I respect him.”
Never forget from where God brought you up to your present status and be humble.
