The house was lifeless. Mummy, daddy, Chinnu and Abi, all were there yet they all were sad, as if they had lost someone. Nobody was in a mood to eat the delicious dishes mummy had cooked. Abi cried, “Anna, please, let’s go search for Kuppy.” Some stray dogs chased their pet cat Kuppy and she ran away somewhere.
“What will she eat poor thing?” said mama. “I hope nobody harms him,” said papa. “I can’t sleep,” said Chinnu, “because Kuppy always slept in my bed with me.”
Their search all over the neighborhood was futile. Three days passed. The gloom was becoming heavier. Around 8 pm. there was a “meow” on the door step. Abi ran and opened the door. There was Kuppy, lean, sad and hungry. She hugged the cat and brought her in. Mummy quickly brought some milk. Chinnu wanted to have the cat in his lap but Abi refused to give. “Please, let him drink the milk, poor thing,” shouted mama. Papa stroked the cat’s head lovingly.
How sad God will feel if we leave Him and go away. How happy He will feel when we come back to Him. Let us decide never to leave God and go after the bad things of the world. Let us leave whatever God doesn’t like in us and run back to Him.
