Wilson’s mother had been teaching him about God even from his very young age. When he was ten, he expressed his desire to see God, to his mother. His mother asked him to bring a bowl of milk. She asked Wilson, “What are the products we get from milk?” Wilson replied, “Curd, butter, ghee.” “Good,” said his mother, and said, “Now you show me the ghee.”
“How can I show you the ghee amma? For that you must first convert this milk to curd. Then you must churn the curd to get butter. Then you must melt the butter to get ghee,” said Wilson. “That’s it,” said mother. “Even though God is with us now we can’t see Him, just like we can’t see the ghee in the milk. We must live a God-pleasing life. Then we can go to heaven and see God.”
Never doubt the presence of God. He is in our midst.
