The queen was combing her daughter’s hair with a plastic comb. The king was upset. He ordered his goldsmith to make a golden, diamond studded comb. Within a week the royal comb was ready. The queen combed her daughter’s hair with the new comb. “Aahh!” cried the princess. “It is scratching my head painfully,” she screamed. The queen said, “It is heavy in my hand. I can’t use it.” So saying she took out the old plastic comb.
The king was upset once again. The queen explained to him the problem. “Give it to me,” the king said, “let me use it.” So the king tried it. “Ouch!” he said, “It is really painful and my hand aches.” So he kept the comb in the show case.
We may be very ordinary people doing ordinary work. We must praise God that we alone can do it and be responsible. More intelligent, stronger, abler people cannot do the simple task we are doing. God has created each of us for a unique purpose. We must happily fulfil our part.
