A proud king used to go about asking his ministers, “Who is great, God or me?” They were all afraid of the king and answered, “No doubt, you are greater than God.” One day the king met a sage and asked him the same question. The sage replied, “No doubt you are greater than God and there is a reason for it.” “What reason?” asked the puzzled king. “You can extradite a subject, O king. But God cannot do it. You can punish someone by sending him out of your country. But the whole world being God’s, He cannot send anyone out of His kingdom.” The king thought about it. He understood the greatness of God. He returned home a humble man. God is the greatest. Be humble before Him.
