A shepherd used to take his flock near a stream every day to graze. His dog Simmy carefully guarded the sheep. Chella was a mischievous little lamb who would daringly go inside bushes in search of grass. Simmy used to scold Chella, “Don’t go into the bushes. Some fox may be hiding there. It will catch you and eat you.”
Whenever Chella used to go near a bush to graze, a fox inside the bush would lovingly talk to him. Chella used to think, “Look at the dog. He is so rude and unkind. But this fox is so loving.” So Chella developed a friendship with the fox.
One day while all were sleeping, the fox came close and called Chella endearingly. “Come quietly,” he said. Chella woke up and walked out stealthily, following his friend’s voice. A little distance off, Chella said, “I am scared of the dark. Let’s stand here and talk.” The fox laughed and said: “You think I called to let you go? I am going to eat you.” So saying the fox opened his mouth to eat the lamb.
“Simmy, Simmy,” cried the lamb. Next minute Simmy came and tore the fox to pieces and saved Chella. Chella escaped with minor injuries.
There are very many bad people in this world who look very good. They talk sweetly and allure you. But their intention is very bad. They will take you and destroy your life. Parents are hard on you and shout and scold you. But just like the fox and dog look alike but their hearts are different, other bad people and parents look alike but their hearts are different. Be careful with others. Keep close to your parents.
