Manju was very hungry in the class. She was thinking about the mouth-watering lime rice that mummy had packed. When the bell rang she ran out and tried to open the box. It was tight. Manju clenched her teeth, pursed her lips and pulled the lid. The box opened but unfortunately the box fell down and spilt all the rice on the floor. Rachel came running on seeing this unfortunate scene and took Manju to the tree shade where all the girls were having lunch. Rachel washed Manju’s box and put a handful of her sambar rice and shoved it into Manju’s hands. Another gave vegetable rice and another curd rice. So Manju had variety rice that day. Learn to share and care!
