Climb the ladder!
Reading: Proverbs 31:10-31

The wise woman builds her house” (Prov 9:1; 14:1)
The wise woman is not satisfied with one pillar. She constantly feels the urge to do more and more to her full capacity. She is never satisfied with one or three or five talents. She always likes to trade with them and double them. That is what we see in the wise woman of Proverbs 31. Even though she was a leader’s wife, she did not consider it below her dignity to do house work or to go out and buy a field. She did not spend her time in idle talk or TV. She was on the move, the whole day.
What motivated her? It was her zeal to climb the ladder. When we analyse whatever she did, there was nothing like flying an aeroplane or space travel. It was all mundane work. Yet she was called blessed, she was praised, she surpassed many noble women and her works were praised at the city gate.
Nowadays women seem to think that bringing home a fat salary means they are at the top of the ladder. That leaves less accomplished women blinking. Can they not achieve anything in life? Are they condemned to spend their life in the kitchen? I believe, No. Each woman is given atleast one talent and she must device ways to multiply it. Your name may not appear in the Newspapers. You may not be a TV personality. Yet, you can climb the ladder in your own way. You must never stop climbing; you must always have ambitions. But you must know where to stop. If you are exhausted and feel you are missing something in life, perhaps you are attempting things God has never meant for you. May be your priorities have got distorted. God does not promise strength for work not intended for you.
If you are keen on climbing the ladder, keep quelling the negative thoughts. Keep the voice in your head positive and switched on. Many women give up not realizing that success was just round the corner.
