One Mr. Hyde trampled a girl and disappeared into a door on the streets. A year passed uneventfully. Then one night a servant girl witnessed Hyde brutally beat to death an old man. A man pointed out that Mr. Hyde’s handwriting bore a remarkable similarity to Dr. Jekyll’s, who was a doctor in the town. Police noticed that whenever Dr. Jekyll disappeared, Mr. Hyde appeared and started to investigate.
Soon afterwards Police visited Dr. Jekyll and found his servants huddled together in terror. Since there was no answer to their knock they broke open Dr.Jekyll’s room and found the body of Hyde in Dr. Jekyll’s clothes.
Dr. Jekyll was taking a potion to metamorphose into Mr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyll’s letter revealed his desire to separate his good side from his dark impulses and how he discovered a way to transform himself periodically into a deformed monster—Mr. Hyde.
With time, he required more and more of the potion for this transformation. Then gradually he started becoming Mr. Hyde involuntarily. It became more and more frequent. Police was hunting for Mr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyll knew one day he would permanently become Mr. Hyde and out of fear killed himself.
All of us have a good person and a bad person inside of us. Gradually we must kill the bad person. We should not be Mr. Hyde at home and Dr. Jekyll in public. We must be the same at home, in school, in the neighbourhood and society.
