A deer looked at his reflection in the pond and thought: “What beautiful horns I have! But look at my feet, they are so ugly.” Just then he saw hunters coming his way and made a dash into the thicket. The hunters gave chase. Lo! the deer’s feet carried
him fast but sadly his horns were caught in a thorny tree. The
hunters caught up with him and killed him.
