An elderly gentleman was standing near a well in a village. Three women were drawing water and talking among themselves. The first woman praised her son that he is superior to all. The second woman boasted about her son’s beautiful songs. The two asked
the third lady about her son. She said that her son was an ordinary boy.
The three women started towards their homes with their pots on their hips and the elderly man followed. The sons came running towards their mothers. The first woman’s son told his mother his latest feat. The second womans’s son sang a new song he had
composed, to his mother. The third son took the mother’s pot from her and carried it home.
The three women turned to the gentleman and asked, “What do you think about our sons?” “Your sons? I saw only one son,” he replied.
