One day Chesterton and Bernard Shaw met. Chesterton looked at Bernard Shaw up and down and mockingly said, “You look like as if there is a famine in England.”
Bernard Shaw gave a smart and lightning reply: “Looking at you, I think you are the cause of the famine.”
Chesterton was tickled to his bones and both of them laughed merrily.
We should never become the cause of famine. When we have things in excess, we should give them away to those who do not have enough.
