Nathan committed his life to Jesus at the tender age of eight. When he was fifteen he attended a missionary conference and decided to serve God fulltime. At eighteen he met with an accident and he was fitted with an artificial right leg, after
amputation. Yet his zeal for God never wavered.
At twentyfive, he formed a team of five to go as missionaries to the tribes of NewZealand. They were an enth- usiastic team bubbling with excitement. They reached New Zealand and prepared to reach the tribes by stud- ying their lan- guage. The
tribes lived in interior forests. As the team reached the tribes’ place they were surrounded by cannibals.The dancing ritual began before cutting them for the curry.
The missionaries prayed and trembled. Nathan struck upon an idea. He told the tribespeople: “We are not good to eat. Our flesh is tasteless. If you can’t believe us I will cut my leg for you. You first taste it and decide. The tribals agreed, where- upon Nathan took their own knife and cut off his artificial limb and gave them. They all had a bite and then packed them off.
All things work together for good to those who love God!
