2.  Lower One Foot, Lord!

Luxan was a village boy, ten years old. When Vacation Bible School was conducted in his village he enthusiastically attended the same and gave his heart to Jesus. He was very eager that his father should know the Lord. So he bought a Bible and presented it to his father. His father was a History Professor. He read the Bible and told Luxan that it was a good history book. Luxan was disappointed.

Luxan started praying for his father. One day the pastor came to see Luxan and found him praying, “Lower one foot, Lord, lower one foot.” When Luxan finished his prayer the pastor asked what he meant by that prayer. Luxan answered, “My father knows verything in the head. I was asking God to bring all his knowledge from his head one foot down to his heart.”

Funny. But that’s the condition of many. They know the Bible of God thoroughly but do not know the God of the Bible. It is not enough to read the Bible. As you read, pray that God will reveal Himself to you. Make Him your Lord, God and Saviour!
