There lived a king who was very proud. His father was a gentle king. But his son became an arrogant ruler after him.
His ministers were really worried and found no way to put sense into his head.
One day the king entered his chief minister’s room for some discussion. He was taken by a big surprise when he found his minister carefully examining two skulls on his table. He curiously asked, “What are you doing with these skulls?” The chief minister replied, “One is the skull of your father and the other is his slave’s. I am trying to find out if there is any difference between the two, but I can’t find any. Can you find?” The king sat down and started examining the two skulls. Suddenly it dawned on him what his minister was up to. There was absolutely no difference. He was stunned. He realized that after death he and his slave will be just the same. In fact, all human beings are equal.
From that time onwards the king became a soft, gentle and humble king showing love to every one.
